On the 24th of April, “Toneelgroep Oostpool” arrived at our school. There was a big bus with a small theatre inside. Immediately when we sat down, the play began.

The play was called GTA 5, and was about life as a game. About pretending to be someone you are not, in a virtual world. About the desire to experience extreme sensations instead of living a boring life. About the influence of two separate worlds that cross each other, real life and a virtual world.

The message of the play was to go out and have fun, experience reality. I really liked the way it was build up, even though gaming is not really my thing.

After the play, I was a bit puzzled, because I recognized two of the actors. I thought Benjamin Moen was from the “Mediamarkt” advertisements, and Matthijs IJgosse from a program called “Danni Lowinski”. At home, we looked them up and found out it was true :)
